Wanneroo Joondalup SES unit holds an induction program once a year to train the new members in the basics. 

First you need to fill in a form stating your personal details, experience and qualifications. Come down to the unit and see the induction instructor, who will then interview you to see whether you have the qualities of a SES volunteer. If sucessfull, you will go through a 16 week induction course. Here you will get a crash course in all the major areas we cover. For example, Storm Damage, Search, First Aid, Knots and Ladders. If you pass this induction course, we will hold a Graduation Ceremony where you will be given a uniform, be assigned to a team and became a full Wanneroo Joondalup SES member. Theres cake included!

2011 induction course has already commenced. Next years induction will be around March/April. Watch this space for when applications open.
